Before You Book
What certification do I need?
Inshore Trips
- Open Water certified divers welcome.
Midshore Trips
- Open Water certification recommended.
USS Oriskany & Advanced Trips
- Advanced Open Water strongly recommended.
- Nitrox certification recommended.
Can I dive the USS Oriskany as a new diver?
The USS Oriskany is an advanced dive site with deeper profiles and changing conditions. New divers should start with our Inshore or Midshore trips before progressing to the Oriskany.
How old do divers need to be?
Minimum age requirements vary by trip. Most dive trips require divers to be at least 12–15 years old.
Do I need to bring my certification card?
Digital certification cards are accepted.
Gear & Rentals
Do you provide rental equipment?
Yes. Rental equipment is available with advance notice.
Equipment available:

- Regulator
- Wetsuit
- Tanks
- Weights
Are tanks included?
Tank availability varies by trip. Check the trip description or contact us for details.
Can I dive Nitrox?
Yes. Nitrox-certified divers are welcome on Nitrox-supported trips.
Do you have water and snacks onboard?
Water is provided. Divers are encouraged to bring snacks and drinks for longer trips.

Where do we meet?
Meeting instructions and marina directions are provided in your booking confirmation email.
How early should I arrive?
Please arrive 30–45 minutes before departure.
Is parking available?
Yes. Convenient parking is available near the marina.
Can non-divers ride along?
Availability varies by trip. Contact us before booking.
Weather & Conditions
What happens if weather is bad?
Safety always comes first.
If conditions are unsafe:
- Trips may be rescheduled.
- Credit may be issued toward a future trip.
- Refund policies follow FareHarbor booking terms.
Who decides if the trip runs?
The captain makes the final decision based on marine forecasts and actual conditions.
How can I see current conditions?
Current sea conditions and upcoming trip information are displayed throughout our website.
